Established in 2018, Texas Skies Flight School began at a kitchen table, with one instructor, but has since grown to become a premier flight training location for the region. Our team now includes an extensive array of instructors, maintenance personnel, and support staff to meet demand for flight instruction in the San Antonio area.

Texas Skies Flight School is the only Cirrus Platinum Training Center in the region, offering quality instruction and aircraft rental in Cirrus SR 20/22 aircraft. Safety and comfort take precedence, with top-of-the-line avionics, air-conditioning and the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System® (CAPS®) unique to Cirrus aircraft.
Our Chief Pilot is a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP), having undergone extensive ground and flight training with factory instructors at Cirrus headquarters, and we have an excellent staff of Training Center Instructors (TCI) that have been trained to instruct in our Cirrus aircraft. |

The owner and Chief Pilot, Casey Ratliff, started the business following his retirement from the United States Air Force, where he flew F-16s and instructed in the T-38. His military experience and the strong military community in Boerne and San Antonio have strongly influenced our business and we are proud to count many current and former service members among our pilots, including several of our instructors.

Construction began on the new facility in August 2019.

When the flight school was founded, it operated out of the small kitchen attached to the hangar. It became clear, however, that more space would be needed as we added to our fleet and our instructor pool grew.
In August 2019, we broke ground on the expansion of our facility at Boerne Stage Airfield. Our new facility has conference space, which we use for our multi-day ground school courses, two classrooms for one-on-one ground school and flight debriefing, a state-of-the-art Cirrus simulator, and a lounge space to relax in after your flight.
